Allegra Allergy Relief Products
Generic Allegra (Fexofenadine) is used to prevent sneezing, runny nose, itching and watering of the eyes, and other allergic symptoms.
The antihistamine drug, Allegra (fexofenadine) is also used in the treatment of hayfever and similar allergy symptoms.
It was developed as a successor of and alternative to terfenadine, an antihistamine with potentially serious contraindications.
Allegra (fexofenadine), like other second and third-generation antihistamines, does not readily enter the brain from the blood, and so causes less drowsiness than first-generation histamine-receptor antagonists. It works by being an antagonist to the H1 receptor.
Allegra Side Effects
Side effects that may go away during treatment, include stomach upset, dizziness, or headache. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if you experience stomach pain, back pain, cough, fever, earache, or menstrual cramps.
An allergic reaction to Allegra is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

Health Tips
Excercise. More than 50% of American men and women do not get enough physical activity to provide health benefits. For adults, thirty minutes of moderate physical activity on most, preferably all, days of the week is recommended. It doesn't take a lot of time or money, but it does take commitment. Start slowly, work up to a satisfactory level, and don't overdo it. You can develop one routine, or you can do something different every day. Find fun ways to stay in shape and feel good, such as dancing, gardening, cutting the grass, swimming, walking, or jogging. Read more Health Tips »
