Female Impotence
Female impotence, female sexual dysfunction or female sexual arousal disorder is the condition of decreased, insufficient, or absent lubrication in females during sexual activity, and sexual contact in females. It is used to describe women having difficulties in having sexual desire, enjoying sex, being adequately aroused or having an orgasm. Loss of interest in sex occurs most commonly in women as they age and approach menopause.
Female Impotence Causes
A number of reasons can be linked to a woman’s decreased sexual desire including stress and exhaustion. She may be unable to enjoy sex because she has one of several sex pain disorders (dyspareunia or painful intercourse and vaginismus or an involuntary spasm of the muscles of the vaginal wall that interferes with intercourse), which in turn may be caused by an underlying condition.
Women with breast cancer or gynecologic disorders may also experience sexual dysfunction.
A type of female impotence can be analogous to male impotence and may be caused by decreased blood flow to the clitoris during sexual intercourse.
Psychosocial factors such as previous or ongoing sexual or physical abuse or an unresolved conflict over sexual identity may play a role in female sexual dysfunction.

Health Tips
Excercise. More than 50% of American men and women do not get enough physical activity to provide health benefits. For adults, thirty minutes of moderate physical activity on most, preferably all, days of the week is recommended. It doesn't take a lot of time or money, but it does take commitment. Start slowly, work up to a satisfactory level, and don't overdo it. You can develop one routine, or you can do something different every day. Find fun ways to stay in shape and feel good, such as dancing, gardening, cutting the grass, swimming, walking, or jogging. Read more Health Tips »
